There are two types of motorization remote controls:
- Infrared
- radio.
Infrared controls allow you to operate shades in your line of sight up to 15 feet away. With radio controls, you can operate shades up to 90 feet away in an open space and up to 65 feet away through two concrete walls – you don’t even have to be in the same room.
If you decide to go with radio controls, you can choose between a hand-held remote or a wall-mounted control panel. Only hand held controls can be used with infrared controls.
Hand-held remotes come in a single-channel model (which allows you to operate one or more shades as a group) or in a four-channel model (which allows you to operate many shades assigned to up to four independent groups).
Wall controls are available in a single-channel model or in a four-channel model.
Radio controls are available in a single-channel or a five-channel wall-mounted model in white, ivory or black.
